Ikorodu Annual Celebration Reflects Unity, Rich Cultural Celebration – Dr Agbaje

The Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, has said that the annual Ikorodu -Oga Day Celebration is a reflection of unity, resilience and rich cultural heritage of Ikorodu people.

He said in a statement congratulating the residents on the occasion of the 34th Ikorodu – Oga Carnival, which commenced today, being organised by the Ikorodu – Oga Development Association (IKODASS).

“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all indigenes and residents of Ikorodu on the celebration of the 34th Ikorodu Oga Day, holding from November 8 to 15, 2025.

“This annual festival stands as a true reflection of our unity, resilience, and rich cultural heritage.”

While commending the traditional ruler of Ikorodu, IKODASS and other stakeholders in promoting peace and growth, the Governor’s aide also charged them on the need to renew their commitment towards further development.

“I commend the Ikorodu Oga Development Association (IKODASS), our revered traditional rulers, and community leaders for their commitment to promoting peace, progress, and development in our beloved division.

“As we celebrate, let us renew our resolve to advance Ikorodu’s growth in alignment with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s vision for a Greater Lagos.

“May this year’s celebration usher in renewed hope, prosperity, and harmony for all.

“Long live Ikorodu! Long live Lagos State! Long live Nigeria!”
